Oh goodness. This is a very good question, I must say. Justice is important, and must be done, otherwise chaos would follow. But mercy, it depends on the situation. Seriously. If you are trying to compare them together, then I'd say justice at this point, but that is just due to the fact that if you are looking for justice and mercy, usually you would not give mercy to someone who is being punished. It all depends, ya know.

Justice. If mercy is given to someone who doesn't deserve it, it's injustice.

Id have to say Mercy, as much as I like everything to be all just, its not reasltic with humans to have 100% justience so the least we can do is show compassion for those who can change and show mercy

Justice. That said, I don't think the two things are necessarily opposites. However, I think people and the world should be just at all times -- and mercy should be reserved for only special situations. There are some times when you should show no mercy and some things are unforgivable.

justice is better, uz some ppl r innocent and w/o justice some ppl cud get away with things, but my opinin is that we shud go back to corpral punishment for most ppl convicted with a 15 yr + sentence

I really would vouch for mercy as alot of people can change and only with suffiecent proof that they did it should death be considered, remember the courts arnt absolute truth its more like a debate on the fate of the client, can they produce a argument that sways to the jury's emotions? Or reasonably proof he did or didnt, even then that doesnt matter, lawyers get alot more and rep for winning so their job in most bluntness is to distort the argument in the favor of their client. So in reality i think we should be careful with such policies.

I'm kinda iffy about corporal punishment. I mean, if they ONLY killed people who DID commit a crime, then I'd be for it. instead of death row, maybe they could have cosmetics tested on them so that there would be no-more animal testing.
